Product description

Two cards. No single point of failure.

Anyone who shoots professionally has had the moment: one card, one slot, and a recording that cannot be repeated. The AXYON Gold Series 2-Pack exists to remove it. Two cards built to the same specification, so a dual-slot body writes at identical rates to both, a second camera behaves exactly like the first, and there is always a formatted card in the bag that performs the same as the one currently recording.

In every pack

  • 2 × AXYON Gold Series microSD cards — matched capacity and specification
  • 2 × AXYON SD adapters — one per card, not one per pack

Choose your capacity

Card standard and speed class both scale with capacity — true of every manufacturer, and we would rather state it plainly than print the same badge on every size.

Capacity Standard Speed rating 4K UHD (30fps) Best suited to
8GB microSDHC Class 10, UHS-I Dash cams, security cameras, IoT and legacy devices
16GB microSDHC Class 10, UHS-I Full HD dash cams, trail cameras, handhelds
32GB microSDHC Class 10, UHS-I U1 4+ hours Smartphones, compact action cams, IoT
64GB microSDXC Class 10, UHS-I U3, V30, A1 8+ hours Dash cams, home security, handheld gaming
128GB microSDXC Class 10, UHS-I U3, V30, A1 16+ hours Pro action cams, high-bitrate mirrorless
256GB microSDXC Class 10, UHS-I U3, V30, A1 32+ hours 4K aerial drones, multi-cam production

V30 is a floor, not a headline

On 64GB and above, the Video Speed Class 30 rating means a guaranteed minimum sustained write of 30MB/s. That floor is the only number that matters for video, because dropped frames and buffer stalls happen when write speed sags mid-recording — not when peak read speed is low. A card sold on its peak figure alone tells you nothing about whether it can hold a take.

A1 for the devices that treat storage as memory

On 64GB and above, Application Performance Class 1 specifies minimum random read and write throughput rather than sequential speed. That is what governs app launch times and asset streaming when a phone, Switch or Steam Deck is running software directly from the card rather than internal storage.

Two cards, two workflows

  • Dual-slot bodies: Matched cards mean relay and backup recording run at the same rate on both slots, instead of the slower card setting the ceiling
  • Front and rear dash cams: Both channels loop-record identically, so neither becomes the weak link
  • Hot-swap on location: Offload one card while the second keeps rolling — no downtime waiting on a transfer
  • Two devices, one purchase: Drone and action cam, phone and console, primary and backup

Built for the conditions cards actually fail in

  • Temperature: Rated across a wide thermal range, for cards that live in a windscreen-mounted dash cam through an Australian summer
  • Moisture: Sealed construction shields the flash array from incidental water exposure
  • Shock and vibration: Solid-state throughout — nothing inside to displace on impact
  • X-ray: Unaffected by airport security scanners

These are design characteristics, not a guarantee against data loss. Keep a second copy of anything irreplaceable — that is true of every memory card ever made, ours included.

Both adapters included

Two SD adapters, one per card, so both cards can run in full-size SD slots simultaneously. A twin-pack shipping a single adapter defeats the point of buying a pair.

Works with

Capture: Mirrorless and DSLR bodies, action cameras, 4K drones, trail and security cameras, front-and-rear dash cams
Devices: Android phones and tablets with a microSD slot, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, single-board computers, field audio recorders
Readers: Any microSD reader, or any full-size SD slot via the included adapters

Devices differ in the maximum capacity they accept. Check yours before choosing 256GB — older hardware often caps at 32GB or 128GB.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't the 8GB card rated V30 like the 256GB?
Sustained write speed scales with how many flash channels a card can write across, and smaller capacities have fewer. This is true of every manufacturer. If you need a guaranteed 30MB/s write floor for 4K, choose 64GB or above.

Are both cards genuinely identical?
Yes — same capacity, same specification, same production standard. That is the entire reason the pack exists.

How does this compare to buying two singles?
The pack is priced below two individual Gold Series cards at every capacity, and both adapters are included.

Why does the formatted capacity read lower than the label?
Manufacturers count 1GB as 1,000,000,000 bytes while operating systems calculate in binary, and a portion of every card is reserved for its controller and file system. This is standard across all storage media.

What is the difference between microSDHC and microSDXC?
A capacity standard, not a quality difference. SDHC covers up to 32GB, SDXC covers 64GB and above. Some older devices read SDHC only — worth checking if you are buying for legacy hardware.

Should I format before first use?
Format in the device you will use it in, not on a computer. Cameras, dash cams and consoles each write their own file structure, and formatting in-device prevents compatibility problems later.
